Love That Dog is a children’s book series by Sharon Creech written in a poetic style. The redesigns of the three book’s dust jackets were inspired by the popular Lite-Brite toy and its involvement in teaching kids to spell and write by rearranging pegs to create letters.
The dotted designs of the titles on the covers represent those very pegs while icons on the spines relate directly to the poems on the front interior flaps.
Staying true to the original books, similar colors and illustrations were used but were given a more modern, electric style.
